Meet Dr. Glyman

Dr. Mark L. Glyman and Dr. Eric D. Swanson have created a world-class medical practice specializing in oral and maxillofacial treatments and surgical procedures. Extensive training is the cornerstone to providing exceptional care to patients, and both physicians benefit from impressive credentials.

Dr. Glyman graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Dentistry. He then received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Glyman trained in a combined program in general surgery and maxillofacial surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He performs adult and pediatric oral, maxillofacial, craniofacial, TMJ and head and neck cancer surgery. In addition, he is trained in microsurgical repair of head and neck defects and peripheral nerve injuries.

Dr. Swanson received his D.M.D. from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He then received his medical degree from columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Swanson trained in a combined oral and maxillofacial surgery and general surgery program at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York city. One of Dr. Swanson performs adult and pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as patients with cleft lip and palate deformities, implantology, orthognathic surgery, bone grafting and facial reconstruction.

Both Dr. Glyman and Dr. Swanson provide high-quality medical treatment. There is, however, something more. Patients crave a special human touch when seeking medical care, and that's where bedside manner is critical. Dr. Glyman and Dr. Swanson take pride in interacting with their patients. Under their care, patients are like family members - patient care is the primary focus. It is critical that patients have a thorough understanding of their medical conditions and understand the options available to them.

Dr. Glyman and Dr. Swanson were classmates at Harvard, and the friendship they forged ultimately led to the creation of their joint practice. Dr. Glyman has lived in Las Vegas for over 12 years; Dr. Swanson recently relocated to Las Vegas from New York City. Their practice has expanded to include 23 employees in two offices, all working together to facilitate patient care. While the practice remains extremely busy, high-quality medical care is the upmost focus. Staff members work in conjunction with the doctors to provide genuine, comprehensive patient care.

Dr. Glyman and Dr. Swanson handle many wisdom teeth cases, a common surgery for young adults. In addition, implant surgery is a major focus of the practice. Dr. Glyman and Dr. Swanson's practice can place immediate implants. This allows the immediate placement of a tooth in one day. While dentoalveolar surgery is challenging, the two doctors treat a significant number of patients with facial deformities, remporomandlbular joint disorders and head and neck cancers. As always, the focus is on the individual patient, providing total care as the patient treatment or surgery progresses. Cosmetic facial surgery, including laser resurfacing of the skin, is yet another area of expertise.

As the practice continues to expand to serve its patients, Dr. Glyman and Dr. Swanson share a vision that must be upheld: Maintaining the quality of care of each patients treatment. Remaining up-to-date via continued training and providing state-of-the-art patient care will continue to be accompanied by the human touch. The staff members strive to excel in this mission of patient comfort and satisfaction.

A visit to either the East Flamingo or Summerlin offices reveals a plaque collection adorning the waiting room walls. The awards mark past service and achievements and serve as a testimony to both physicians' absolute dedication to excellence.
