Cranio Facial Surgery

Craniofacial Surgery is a broad category which includes surgery of the upper third of the facial skeleton. Dr. Glyman and Dr. Swanson are trained in reconstructive techniques in this area. This includes treatment of congenital defects such as craniofacial microsomia, hemifacial microsomia, and skull/skeletal defects that are either acquired or developmental. Patients with these problems can include children with birth defects. Surgery can consist of surgery at 3 months of age to adulthood. The surgery is usually done in conjunction with the neurosurgery team in the Las Vegas area and techniques can in include distraction, osteotomies, grafts, and 3 dimensional CAD reconstruction prostheses. Dr. Glyman and Dr. Swanson work in conjunction with the Western Regional Neurosurgical Team in treating theses conditions. Patients have come from as far as China to undergo surgery by Dr. Glyman in this area. If you are interested in specific examples of care, please don't hesitate to contact our office.

Cleft Surgery

Dr. Swanson has special expertise treating patients with cleft lip and palate. He has travelled the world over treating children and adults afflicted with cleft lip and palate deformities.
